Description:
The cast-iron griddle is made of high-quality cast-iron. Cast-iron can be heated to very high temperatures and commands optimal heat distribution as well as optimal heat retention. The cast-iron griddle is multifunctional. The ribbed front is perfectly suited for quick roasting with superb grill marks, for meat, vegetables etc. The smooth back side can be used for fried eggs, crêpes and much more.
Instructions for use:
Clean the cast-iron griddle with water prior to its first use. Only touch the accessories with barbecue mitts during use on the barbecue. Do not put the cast-iron griddle on flammable or heat-sensitive surfaces while hot. Always pre-heat it on level for a minimum of 5 minutes.
Always use the cast-iron griddle in the following position:
Large funnel: volcano position
Cooking grid: take away and put cast-iron griddle directly on large funnel
Lid: open
Cleaning:
*Leave the cast-iron griddle on the barbecue to burn out at full capacity for about 10 minutes
*Use a brush with brass bristles (no steel bristles)
The first two steps only if the plate was used just for sautéing meat or fish.
*First let it cool down, then use a high-grade steel wool brush or a nylon sponge and soap water for a thorough cleaning
